Winter Rose
Earlier this week, an ice storm, wrapped itself around nature. I have one rose bud, that has hung on through all the changes of the weather; and even after this storm, it still hangs strongly to its branches. It reminds me that, often when we think we can’t make it through something that is difficult, we really can. It is an image of strength and hope for me. I hope your holiday season is wonderful for you! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Eikenlaan,
I’m sorry to just be getting back to you. We had a big winter snow right after the ice, and the tag for the name of the rose was hidden for some time. I only bought the rose at the end of summer, so I couldn’t remember the name! It is called a Miss All American Beauty Rose—it is a Hybrid Tea Rose—and known for its strength and ability to survive.:) So I guess that’s why it’s still hanging on through all this weather! Do you grow roses yourself? I have one other tea rose as well: the Day Breaker Rose. I just started growing roses this past year. They are such stunning flowers, and the gift of their smells is so wonderful!
Blessings on your day, Erin

Thank you, Robyn 🙂 When I bought this rose bush at the end of the summer, it took me a lot of work to get the soil just so for it. Maybe the Rose is thanking me by staying around longer than it should! As you probably know, nature is a very important metaphor for healing, strength, and peace in my life. This seems to be true for you too?! Blessings friend, Erin
